Course Book (Only for Ace Group 20 / 30)
Students on an adult course are provided with one course book throughout their stay at the school. Students will need to purchase additional coursebooks when they move up to a higher level or change course.
In the event that students require a change of level within their first week, students are able to exchange their coursebooks for a new book as long as the original book remains in the same condition with which it was provided.
Students who are unable to physically collect their course book prior to their first lesson may receive a code to access their book online. In such cases students should then collect their physical book from the school on the first day they are able.
The course book includes access to a free app that features a digital interactive version of the book and additional gamified language practice activities for class preparation and consolidation.
Placement test
One week before you arrive, we'll email you (or your agent will) a copy of our placement test, so keep an eye out for that. This test helps you and us to understand your English level and decide the best class for you, so as to ensure the optimal learning experience.
Classes are available for students of all different skills and experience levels, from Beginner to Advanced, with the lessons and course material of each class tailored carefully to fit the different levels as described in the CEFR guidelines:
- Beginners = A1
- Elementary = A1+
- Pre-Intermediate = A2
- Intermediate = B1
- Upper-Intermediate = B2
- Advanced = C1
For more information and detail about CEFR Guidelines please click on the following link: Levels of English.
Course progress
At ACE English Malta we aim to support our students throughout their language learning journey and help them to improve their proficiency in English. We regularly offer our students the opportunity to take a test to assess the progress they are making and determine if they are ready to join higher-level classes.
Understanding our students’ development helps us to better cater to their needs and provide them with the best educational experience possible.
